The Feltingoff SAVE (Students Against Violence Everywhere) Promise Club is one of the most beloved organizations on campus. It partners with the Sandy Hook Promise organization to promote safer environments for youth and prevent violence through education, inclusion, and student involvement.
This year, the Feltingoff SAVE Promise Club was nationally recognized for its contributions to creating a safer school environment. Out of many applicants nationwide, the club has received $500 to put towards club activities, administration, events, and programming. The grant also provides monthly programming materials like guides for Start With Hello, Say Something, SAVE Day, and Youth Violence Prevention Week. These resources help the club expand its efforts in getting all students involved on campus.
Beyond receiving this grant, Feltingoff SAVE Promise club has been actively engaging in events that put its mission into action. Recently, the SAVE Promise Club hosted Start With Aloha Week, a campaign celebrating inclusivity and showing how a simple “hello” can make a big difference. Events included kindness flowers, a hula-hoop competition, and “Start With Hello With a Cup of Joe.” Feltingoff SAVE also visited the lower school to teach students about “toothpaste words” and the power of kind language.
Looking ahead, the Feltingoff SAVE Promise Club plans to use this grant to expand its reach and impact through a variety of upcoming initiatives. By leveraging the resources provided by the grant, Feltingoff SAVE aims to cultivate a culture of respect, understanding, and active participation across all grade levels, ensuring that every student feels valued, heard, and protected within our school community.
